ISES Peripheral Vascular Fellows' Competition

Structure and History of the Competition

The Society energizes tomorrow's leading endovascular specialists by co-sponsoring the ISES Peripheral Vascular Fellows' Competition (formerly called the ISES Endovascular Research Award) with the International Congress on Endovascular Interventions. Each year, a group of endovascular fellows are selected for the competition based on a review of all submitted abstracts by the Selection Committee. The six top authors present their papers during the Peripheral Vascular Fellows' Forum, which takes place each February during the International Congress on Endovascular Interventions meeting.

The competition features three finalists in two award categories: the Laboratory Research Award, for laboratory based experimental study for cardiovascular disease and the Clinical Research Award, for clinical investigation of human vascular disease. Every fellow who submits an abstract receives a complimentary one-year ISES membership.
