A Night to be Remembered |
|
Following a cocktail reception and private, docent-led tours of the museum, guests were delighted by the whimsical yet dramatic performance of ancient Native American dances by World Champion dance artists. Continuing the evening's program, featured guest speaker, US Astronaut Rick Searfoss, captured the audience with a riveting account of modern scientific endeavor in space, as he experienced it, aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia. Linking the challenges overcome in the past with the challenges facing mankind today, Col. Searfoss stirred the imaginations of those in attendance. The second annual ISES Auction, conducted concurrently with the evening's entertainment program, was also, once again, extremely well-received. The auction included prized southwestern jewelry, fine bottles of wine, exciting travel packages, gift baskets, signed sports memorabilia, and other popular items.
