Special Session 2004:
Continuation of the Great Debates

Latest Entry in the ISES Educational Series

Each year, the Society presents the ISES Special Session in conjunction with the Annual General Assembly of Members.  The format of this event is a series of debates which probe participant opinions regarding key current issues in the endovascular discipline.

The 2004 Special Session, held on February 10, 2004, featured three insightful debates on the following premises:

  • Evidence-Based Medicine Does Not Support the Application of Endovascular Grafting of Small Aneurysms

  • Current Carotid Stent Trials Justify Immediate Agency Approval and Reimbursement

  • Acute Type III Thoracic Dissecting Aneurysms Should Be Treated by Stent Grafting: Medical Therapy Has Failed in Midterm Follow-up

The 2004 debates, as well as past years' provocative sessions, are available on video tape, audio cassette and CD. Don’t miss out on these educational and informative productions.
